About Us

Willie's is a small company based in the laid-back beachy haven of Papamoa in the sunny Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

I had the idea when returning to New Zealand after being overseas for 10 years.  Being married to a Rastafarian from the Caribbean gave me an insight into what it takes to care for dreadlocks and I was quickly immersed in waxing, re-twisting and palm-rolling etc etc etc.  It wasn't until we came back to Aotearoa that I realised there weren't a heck of a lot of products available here. So I thought - I'll make something (being a qualified aromatherapist and having made natural products before was also a help).  And so Willie's was born.

So after almost a year of developing the products and lots of trial, error and feedback from some other trusted dreadlocked friends we believe we have a great range....which is small at the moment but you gotta start somewhere right?!  We have some other products up our sleeve we want to bring to you - all in the name of healthy, clean and wicked lookin' locks.....so watch this space!
